RSA have announced that they are exiting the UK home insurance market and our agreement with them will now be coming to an end.   

If you currently have Motability Home Insurance cover provided by RSA, when your current policy is due for renewal, we will be introducing you to Uinsure who can offer you a quote. 

Who is Uinsure?  

Uinsure is an insurance provider with an ‘Excellent’ Trustpilot rating as well as a 5 Star Defaqto rated insurance policy, meaning it delivers high quality home insurance and buy to let cover, as well as excellent customer service.

When will I receive a quotation from Uinsure?

You will receive either a quote or letter asking you to contact Uinsure approximately 21 to 30 days before your existing policy expires. You will also receive reminders before your policy expires if you have not made contact or arranged cover. It is extremely important to arrange your new policy before your existing one expires otherwise you will not be. Ideally, you should do this at your earliest convenience as soon as you receive communications from Uinsure.

Do I have to switch to Uinsure?

You are under no obligation to go ahead with the insurance quote from Uinsure and are free to choose a different provider if you wish. But, either way, you need to make sure you have a new policy in place before your current one with RSA expires. If you do want to make your own insurance arrangements, we cannot give you any advice about who to arrange alternative insurance with. 

If you want to switch your home insurance to Uinsure then you should wait for the new quote to be sent to you. You will then be able to review this and set up your new policy to begin when your current one ends. 

Your existing RSA policy

If you have a current claim in progress with RSA, this will be unaffected and will continue to be managed using the same policy number and contact details until any potential claim has been settled. 

If you want to cancel your existing policy with RSA before your current renewal date, you can do this by contacting them using the details contained in your policy booklet. Before cancelling your RSA policy, you should ensure that you have alternative cover in place.

Uinsure Limited will pay a commission of up to 16% to Motability Enterprises Limited for each policy sold. These funds are used by the Motability Foundation to help disabled people with their personal mobility.
